and all associated communities
for supporting
interdependent
services to others.

Baba Hari Dass was born in 1923 near Almora, India. He is a silent monk and guru who was classically trained in the tradition of
Ashtanga Yoga.

He has maintained a continual vow of silence since 1952. He and his teachings have inspired the
Mount Madonna Center and Mount Madonna Institute near Santa Cruz, California, The Salt Spring Centre in British Columbia and the Sri Ram Ashram in Haridwar, India. Baba Hari Dass was initiated into the Vairagi Vaishnava order in 1942
by Baba Raghubar Dassji Maharaj,
a renunciate and Sanskrit scholar.

Baba Hari Dass first came to the attention of the West in the book by Baba Ram Dass, Be Here Now. Ram Dass' Guru, Maharaj-ji, AKA Neem Karoli Baba, instructed Ram Dass to receive teachings from Baba Hari Dass, who taught Ram Dass Ashtanga Yoga using only a chalkboard.

Baba Hari Dass agreed to mentor his pregnant student Jeannine Parvati through a course of prenatal Yoga, and supported her desire to continue practicing asanas, despite traditional male yogic proscriptions against it. From this, the first book in the Western world on the subject, Prenatal Yoga & Natural Childbirth was published in 1974.

He has since published many inspiring books -
all the money from these books go to his orpahage/school/Ashram in India.

Daniel Mollner
- Positive Use Of The Media Category "Project 52" is the title for Daniel Mollner's year-long dance/film project in 2012.  Creating an original 3-5 minute video every week for a year, he finished the film... at the end of 2012... and had touched so many lives in doing it. Creative evolution was flowing in every film... that showed the quest of the human soul to cocreate... inspiration from inspriation. Thank you for the healing it did Santa Cruz where is was based. We made a music video with Daniel on the beach... and when it is edited - it will be CREATIVE EVOLUTION "Beach Dancing" at: www.spiralon.com.

Jon Anderson - Positive Use Of The Media Category (the voice of Yes) is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable voices in progressive rock as the lead vocalist and creative force behind Yes. Anderson was the author and a major creative influence behind the series of epics produced by Yes and his role in creating such complex pieces as Close to the Edge, Awaken, and especially The Gates of Delirium was central to the band's success. Additionally, Anderson co-authored the group's biggest hits, including, "I've Seen All Good People", "Roundabout", and "Owner Of A Lonely Heart". He gave an amazing concert in Santa Cruz and we will be featuring some clips ongoing. See CREATIVE EVOLUTION "Rainbow Rejuvenation" at: www.spiralon.com.

Julia Butterfly Hill - Alternatives Towards A Better World Category
Julia is a one of a kind spirit who transformed herself while she lived in a 1000 year old tree that she named LUNA - the tree taught her many things and being away from our culture many more things. She came down an international hero for helping to preserve the ancient forest and the environment in general. Yet even more for the way she went about it. She actually made friends with the Lumberjacks - so much so that when someone tried to cut down LUNA a year later. It was the Lumberjacks who put braces in it so the strong winds would not make it fall. LUNA still stands today as a symbol to the world of what people can do when they care. Through the Circle Of Life Foundations Julia and those who work with her continue to do all kinds of activism. She has written books (The Legacy Of Luna, One Makes The Difference) and is filled with love, joy, and inspiration in all she does. She is helping to reshape how we call attention to what is no longer good for any of us. In her story she tells us that family owned companies who did mostly selective cutting for years has some cut backs and were forced to sell their companies to huge corporations that now clear cut and so much so that towns like Stafford (near where LUNA stands) were turned into mud slides when it rains.. the trees used to hold the top soil in place. Thank you Julia for all you did by living in LUNA, yet more so all the work you have done since you came down and most of all for all the love in which you do it.

Sandra Bernhard - Positive Use Of The Media Category
While on tour with "EXCUSES FOR BAD BEHAVIOR" we were able to get an interview with Sandra who is as real and present as she is insightful. She is an activist in that she questions authority and the way we view things as "normal" - especially things that are not good for us. Then she wraps it all into a show and somehow makes it sexy to care. She is always way ahead of the curve of what's considered acceptable.. pushing the envelope towards our continual awakening with each new show she evolves herself through bringing her audience along to laugh at it all - as they come to see the beauty through the irony in our amazing world that is growing - one insight at a time.

Ken Carey - Healing the Mind, Body, & Spirit Category
Author of StarSeed Transmissions, Return of the Bird Tribes, and many other wonderful books since his first one that has become a beloved book for many who are seekers. Carey's cosmic but grounded vision of evolution has inspired many individuals. He was interviewed on P.E.A.C.E. in 1995.

Arthur Young
- Alternatives Towards A Better World Category
(1905-1995), inventor of the Bell Helicopter, cosmologist, philosopher and author of The Reflexive Universe and The Geometry of Meaning, addresses issues in physics, mathematics, consciousness and evolution. P.E.A.C.E.'s video interview with Arthur in 1994 was the last video interview before his passing - this is what inspired the Creative Evolutionary Awards.
